I also identified unintentionally that there is a new Picture application in my applications folder in running system Yosemite, Prophoto or a little something, and I don't know if This can be the new version of iPhoto and Aperture combined in a single. I am cautious of working with iphoto since it does not do the job nicely with Lightroom workflow
